What brought you to RE!NSTITUTE?

All my professional life has orbited around a global view through working with people. I've been around it in lots of different sectors and ways, from working with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Mexico's Youth Institute (IMJUVE) in planning the World Youth Forum's Interactive Global Fora in 2010 to working with partners in Asia and Europe purchasing for the food and fragrance industry. I've also worked closely with entrepreneurs supporting them in launching and growing their businesses.

In 2017 I joined United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) Mexico program Promoting Justice Project (PROJUST), where I first encountered the 100-Day Challenge methodology. After seeing its incredible results and learning about how they were achieved, I put my foot in the door and asked to be part of it. Coaching my first team was life-changing, and I have continued to coach teams throughout the years. I officially joined the Rapid Results Institute (now RE!NSTITUTE) in 2019.

What’s your current role?

Since joining, I’ve been coaching teams to help them achieve their goals in Mexico’s criminal justice, gender, and anti-corruption efforts across multiple cities in the country.

Currently, I’m involved in designing and facilitating a training program in the Dominican Republic with the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) to implement RE!NSTUTE’s 100-Day Challenge methodology, as well as facilitating two 100-Day Challenges, the first of which will be focused on the country’s health system. We hope to ingrain the methodology so that trainees are able to continue catalyzing a sustainable impact on the country’s diverse social issues.

What do you love about your role and RE!NSTITUTE?

After working in international development and different projects, I had very rarely seen tangible results in the short term, never mind talking about them being sustainable and provoking policy changes in the long run. Seeing the methodology in action and the results made me realize what I’d been missing! Helping people empower front-line teams to get together and achieve incredible results and actually achieve sustainable change is something I find incredibly fulfilling.

RE!NSTITUTE has become part of my home and family, the respect, openness, and sincerity with which the organization carries itself make me feel as if together we can achieve anything. We all work towards our goals and listen and learn from each other, which makes this a great environment for creativity and embracing the power of change.

Where will we find you in your free time?

In my free time, you can find me either having some quiet time with myself reading or watching movies or, seeking a new adventure with friends or family whether it be travelling, having a drink or dancing and singing. I also try to search for new ways not to poison myself in the kitchen!
