2023

In 2023, the RE!NSTITUTE team embarked on ambitious projects to help communities dig deeper into their systems, develop more sustainable innovations, and continue strengthening their connections through new ways of working and collaborating.

  • In the UK, collaboration with the NHS and Devon Integrated Care Board significantly enhanced urgent and emergency care access in South West England.
  • Efforts in Latin America, particularly Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras, aimed at transforming justice, governance, and gender-based violence systems and services, with notable progress in Mexico on domestic violence and illicit substance case resolutions.
  • In the U.S., projects across Florida, Illinois, Oregon, California, and Virginia focused on the Housing and Homeless sector, with significant insights gained from tackling homelessness in rural Illinois.
  • We are working in Canada for the first time through an exciting new partnership with the Pond Deshpande Center in New Brunswick.
  • Justice and the fight against gender violence continue through our collaboration with iResults and the World of Impact in South Africa and through our certified coaches in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This year’s report underscores the organizational shift towards systems transformation, highlighting substantial strides in overcoming barriers to sustainable change.

2022

Although 2022 was challenging, the work that was done by our 100-Day Challenge teams was amazing. Last year in Latin America, we worked with sixteen communities across Mexico and the Dominican Republic to transform justice, governance, and gender systems.

In the U.S., we helped fourteen communities across California, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Palm Beach, Florida, bring together teams working across housing and homelessness and health systems to innovate and transform how these systems can collaborate to house more adults and youth experiencing homelessness.

In South Africa, through our partner iResults, 100-Day Challenges were deployed across seven districts to improve system responses, victim support and trauma service, and education related to gender-based violence and femicide.
