I was already retired when my daughter told me I was bored and getting boring. She redid my resume and sent it out and found me a job with Rapid Results Institute (now RE!NSTITUTE).  What was supposed to be a two-day-a-week job is now full-time.  Since my previous experience was in the automotive field I was happy to build some good karma working with good people doing important work.

As the finance manager, I handle payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Therefore, my work stretches across all sectors and, as a result, I’m lucky enough to be able to work with all of my colleagues. I work to keep our finances in good shape so that they can continue to do the good work that they do.
 

I especially love being able to help all of my colleagues do the important work they do - in homelessness, criminal justice, anti-corruption, training, learning, and all of the new sectors into which we’ll be moving. I’m happy that my work contributes to people being housed, justice being served, and all the other important work my colleagues are doing.

I will either be reading or spending time with my kids and grandkids. Grandkids are the best - all of the fun and none of the responsibilities.
