What brought you to RE!NSTITUTE?

Prior to joining RE!NSTITUTE, I worked in the international development field, advising funders and nonprofits on building robust constituent voice mechanisms into their programs. This kind of focus on feedback from those with lived experience led me RE!NSTITUTE, where we have a laser focus on the expertise of frontline workers and those with lived expertise.

What’s your current role?

As a part of the MEL team, I help RE!NSTITUTE understand if we are meeting our goals and helping communities sustain the changes they care about. As Regional MEL manager for the US, I work with our Data Coordinator and the catalysts to help 100-Day Challenge Teams collect data on their results as they go through the Challenge. I make sure we capture the brilliant insights from the Teams and share those insights with the appropriate sector, such as homeless response.

What do you love about your role and RE!NSTITUTE?

Despite all of us being remote, RE!NSTITUTE has cultivated a deep sense of community among the staff members. I have rarely had the opportunity to work with a more dedicated, fun, and innovative team. As someone who is annoyingly curious and has been known to “demand the receipts”, I am grateful to work with a MEL team and whole organization that appreciates the importance of collecting, analyzing, and learning from data, whether it be performance numbers or stories of our clients' experiences with the Challenge.

Where will we find you in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my partner and our pup. We can be found camping, kayaking, canoeing, and perfecting our campfire setup. On rainy days, I'm a fan of cross stitch and action movies.
